Some people enjoy the city, but many of us love to experience nature at its core. Being secluded without cell reception might sound like a horror movie to some, but to others it’s the best way to escape our responsibilities. If you’re someone who loves the outdoors and you need some ideas for a new place to travel, here are my recommendations.

The Netherlands

The Netherlands is a beautiful European country that is most known for Amsterdam. However, near the central part of the country is a little town named Giethoorn. Here, there are no roads, only waterways. You can travel by foot or rent a boat to take you through the village. While many houses in the area do contain modern luxuries, such as TV and Internet, it is easy to explore the town and surrounding areas instead of falling victim to the screens.

Virgin Gorda, The British Virgin Islands

If you’re looking for a tropical destination that offers more than a traditional beach, Virgin Gorda, one of The British Virgin Islands, is just the place for you! First, you can go to the Baths, which are a natural rock formation that create glistening pools of water for you to enjoy. You can also go hiking to Virgin Gorda Peak and visit The Copper Mine in Spanish Town. You’re sure to see some beautiful sights on this island.

The United States

I’m from Canada and while I know there are tons of great sites in my country, I also know that our neighbors have much more diversity. You can see mountains, deserts, and forests. Each state has its own charm, so you’ll never run out of places to go and adventures to have.
